SUSTAINABILITY
At Fine Paper Co, eco-friendliness is our number one priority. Sustainability begins with using sustainably grown trees, which help fight climate change. We source certified wood and fast-growing Paper-Tree, avoiding the logging of natural forests.
Our sustainable sourcing process involves continuous replanting of Paper-Trees by farmers in rural communities, creating jobs, providing sustainable livelihoods, and ensuring a secure source of income.
We adhere to a circular economy where no waste is wasted. All byproducts from the pulping process, including wood bark, knotted wood, chips, lignin, and sludge, are used for biomass electricity generation, powering our mills and supplying energy to nearby communities.
To lessen our environmental impact, we built a 35 million cubic meter reservoir to collect rainwater runoff, preventing floods and meeting our mills’ water needs. We leverage technology to minimize water consumption and use recycled water to irrigate trees around our mills.
We are dedicated to social and economic sustainability. Through our “Paper from Farmed Trees” program, we support local farmers in optimizing their land, providing alternative income, and fostering long-term, healthy relationships with local communities.
